Who We Are

We are a church with an overriding desire to serve God faithfully through our energy and resources.
We strive to give witness to God’s grace through all of our ministries. As a worshiping body, we are
committed to continual spiritual growth.

Recognizing our children and youth as the cornerstone of the church and community, several ministries
focus on their spiritual, emotional and physical fortification. These include the St. Luke Lil' Saints Youth Group,
Boys To Men Fellowship Group, Vacation Bible School and St. Luke Youth Praise Dancers..

We are always happy and blessed to have friends in our midst.  Please join us in
worship and ministry.

The Minister's  Corner

Dear Saints at St. Luke Presbyterian Church:

St Luke Presbyterian Church has a mission statement and it reads as follows:

St Luke Presbyterian Church, we are the Church of Jesus Christ led by the Holy Spirit, to build the kingdom of God through:

-Faithful obedience to the great commandment;
-Decisively submitting to Christ's great commission &
-Joyful engagement in meaningful worship."

Many might wonder what does a mission statement for a church as this mean. To paraphrase Wikipedia, theFree Encyclopedia; it's a simple short declaration of the purpose of our church as a community of Christian believers. It tells why we are here and what we do. This testimonial is supposed to guide the church's actions, spell out her overall goal, and provide a sense of direction while guarding her decision-making process. It is imperative for such an organization as this to have a mission statement. It provides the framework within which the church's strategies are put together. As we just came out of the whole church reflections (January 30, 2010) assessing here we are and where we would like to go as a church of Jesus Christ, we are then ready to formulate the strategies which will characterize our journey with God in the next three to five years. Such strategies can easily be devised on the basis of our mission statement. I therefore invite you to remain in prayers so that God will lead us throughout this entire voyage. May the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in all ways" (2 Thess. 3:16).

Be Blessed Always!
Rev. Dr. Kasonga Wa Kasonga
